Baby Panda

This is a simple glass representation of 7 month old Tai Shan, born at the National Zoo in Washington D.C, as she ventured outside for the first time under the watchful eyes of her mother Mei Xiang. Tai Shan was born in 2005 and was the first surviving cub of Mei Xiang at the National Zoo.

The smile on Tai Shan can be created using a copper wire. Simple cut a piece of copper either 20 or 22 gauge and tin it with the solder that you use for the piece. Tack it in place after you are done your panel and then solder in place. Be careful when tinning the wire, it will become extremely hot and burn you, please use pliers.
