Flying Bat sun catcher

A sweet little bat that can be made for Halloween. This design can be made in two different ways, either in two layers (B) on as one layer (A).

To hang the sun catcher you can make hangers with a plain paper clip (bent open and cut in 2), jewelry jump rings, or tinned 16 gauge copper wire. Solder the hangers at joints for the most secure hold.

Lighthouse

A view of the Ponce De Leon lighthouse on a stormy day. Ponce Inlet is a small town in Florida that is known for its lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1887 at 175 feet it is the tallest lighthouse in Florida today. When the first kerosene lamp was installed the light could be seen approximately 18-20 miles offshore, it still shines today 130+ years later.

Mama Flamingo

The American Flamingo is the only flamingo that is found in North America. It lives for approximately 40 years in the wild and 60 years in captivity. The colors of the flamingos feathers come from its diet of algae and crustaceans. I've created a simple glass design that can be made in just foil or in lead. Enjoy and have fun with textures in this piece.

Baby Panda

This is a simple glass representation of 7 month old Tai Shan, born at the National Zoo in Washington D.C, as she ventured outside for the first time under the watchful eyes of her mother Mei Xiang. Tai Shan was born in 2005 and was the first surviving cub of Mei Xiang at the National Zoo.

The smile on Tai Shan can be created using a copper wire. Simple cut a piece of copper either 20 or 22 gauge and tin it with the solder that you use for the piece. Tack it in place after you are done your panel and then solder in place. Be careful when tinning the wire, it will become extremely hot and burn you, please use pliers.

Solitary Great Egret

I have created for you a free pattern of the beautiful and majestic Great Egret from Florida, USA. It is colored all with with black legs and a dark yellow bill. This bird has the same body shape and is related to both the Great Blue Heron and the Reddish Egret. You can choose your glass according to which bird you would like to highlight. All 3 birds wade in rivers, lakes and a few love to steal bits of food from clueless humans.
